The day starts with two inspiring workshops. PŪNGAO, is a mindful movement, improvisation and breath workshop by renowned choreographer Tiaki Kerei. Next, join award-winning writer Kathryn Burnett for a fun, creative session exploring different forms of short fiction.

Pumping up the energy and the volume in the early afternoon will be DJ and powerhouse vocalist Sandy Mill. Performance poet Carrie Rudzinsky is returning to host the Poetry Open Mic featuring special guests and emerging new poets. Plus more to be announced.

Full programme details coming January 2026.

Art Day for Gender Equality is held in Monte Cecilia Park at the site of 1001 Spheres sculpture. Art Day is a free and inclusive community event. Everyone is welcome!
